I have purchased furniture from Tim Orman, Orman’s Furniture, for many years. Every time, the process from selection to purchase to delivery has been exceptional. The quality, selection, and service that are so hard to come by these days are all there at Orman’s. The huge showroom is a great place to get decorating ideas, and Tim is happy to help with customization and suggestions. I highly recommend Orman’s for all your furniture needs. It’s better than ever!!

Hidden Gem! Don't let the outside of the store deter you from going inside. We were looking for a new dining room table and chairs and were tired of cookie-cutter designs and poor workmanship of the retail chains. Orman's has quality pieces and so many customizable options! We special ordered a white oak quarter sawn table made by the Amish and then the owner, Tim Orman, worked with us to mix a custom stain so we could get just the right color we wanted. This was a lengthy process with the finishing company, but Tim was invested in us getting exactly the color and look we wanted. We also found side chairs that we had custom stained and upholstered. They turned out beautiful! Delivered and set up right before the holidays, as promised. Even found some outdoor Adirondak chairs to go around our firepit while we were there! Tim is the most knowledgeable person in the furniture business that we have ever met. You will not be disappointed in what you purchase!

Lots of inventory in the store the day we visited. They had what we were looking for. Bought 2 pieces. Took one piece home, as it fit easily in our car. Had the other piece delivered. This was a very good experience....both in buying the furniture, and in the delivery. Delivery fee was reasonable, and delivery was efficient. We will definitely be going back for any future needs.

We had a bookcase made of "paper board". It fell apart. We had in the past bought a beautiful coffee table at Orman's Furniture and felt it was a good place to look for a new bookcase. Tim is amazing- he showed us the variety of styles and choice of woods. What really impressed us was that he could have a bookcase built to our height/depth requirements- made specifically for us by craftsmen he knew personally.This is a truly personal way of shopping for quality furniture.We will certainly return for any new furniture purchases- Thanks Tim!Bruce and Carol

We purchased a bed, headboard, nightstand, loveseat, couch and two ottomans for my mother. All of the pieces are great quality furniture and will last a lifetime unlike so many of the things you get at these furniture marts. The headboard and nightstand are especially beautiful pieces of wood which was important to my mother. While we did have to wait for them, they arrived weeks before the original delivery date and Tim made sure we got them right away. The delivery team was punctual (they beat us to the location), clean, efficient and had a pretty good sense of humor. Thank you so much!

My wife and I had purchased some counter stools here and found the selection and service outstanding. We returned when we were ready to purchase a dining room table and chairs. After giving Tim the specs we were looking for, he took us to 7 or 8 he had in stock, as well as letting us know any of the other tables could be custom ordered in any finish and species we wanted. We choose a table he had, and then selected the chairs we wanted. Being close to the holidays we didn't expect to get delivery until the following week. But we were pleasantly surprised when he arranged delivery the same day, which included set-up, for us. If you are looking for high quality in furniture, and not the plastic and pressboard furniture most stores carry, you have to do yourself a favor and see what Orman's has to offer. By the way, their prices are really good in comparison.

Approximately 10 yrs ago I was on a mission to find Classic Leather furniture that we could afford and I found Orman’s. Fast forward to this year and I needed to upgrade a chair cushion. The Classic Leather company instructed me to contact the dealer that we purchased from. I did that and Tim Orman took over. After 10 yrs he provided service as if we had just purchased from him. Top notch service before, during and 10 yrs later! Thank you Tim!!2023Our Classic Leather recliner broke and I contacted a local repair company who thought they could fix it however they could not. Once again after 12 years I reached out to Tim Orman for help. He did the reach for us and learned that the mechanism for this chair was no longer made. Between Tim and my husband discussing the issue and my husband being a fix-it man and a strong armed neighbor, the chair is fixed! Thank you again Tim for your continued service to your old customers!

My Mom had purchased a power recliner from Tim and was very happy with it. Then some medical issues made it necessary for me to need the same kind of chair. Tim had one and was even able to deliver it the same day for me. It's hard to find customer service like that anymore.

Since we moved to KC seven years ago, we have bought all our furniture at Ormans. We will not go anywhere else. Tim is extremely knowledgeable about the furniture, as well as very helpful, and accommodating. Right in the midst of COVID when we had to move our autistic son to a group home, he not only made sure he could deliver the bedroom set to our son’s house within a two week period , but he also made some arrangements to he bed so that our son would not take the mattress off. Let’s not forget that during COVID, there was hardly any furniture available. We cannot thank Tim and his team enough for their superior service the last seven years.Sincerely,Mike and Sandy Lydic

If you seriously need furniture, Tim Orman will help you find the perfect piece. Tim knows furniture and enjoys sharing his knowledge. He has a largestock and can order from multiple distributors. I'm a repeat customer and every experience with Tim's sales staff and delivery team has been positive. If you just want to browse, plan to spend a couple hours and be sure to check out the grandfather clock.

Orman's is a charming furniture store with high-quality pieces and reasonable prices. The shopping experience is substantially different from most modern furniture stores - and I love it.Where most stores provide a guided "room by room" experience, the Orman's floor overflows with a wide variety of furniture. Rather than be harrangued by myriad salespeople walking from section to section (who, when faced with questions about their limited products, often have no answers), Orman's salespeople are sparse but knowledgeable. Tim Orman is seemingly always there, and knows more about furniture than anyone I've ever met.The Orman's experience isn't for everyone. You'll need an imagination and some patience, but in return you'll find furniture at fair prices.

Bought a beautiful Sheesham table, chairs, bench and end tables from there! I’m pretty picky and I was absolutely happy with my purchase! Sheesham is a gorgeous multi grain/color hardwood, and I couldn’t decide on which grain I like best… so I was really surprised when Tim sent 2 tables out wh n delivered and let me chose my favorite! Wow! Definitely recommend going to Orman’s for good furniture! It was very reasonable as well!

We couldn’t be more happy with our experience at Orman’s. Mr. Orman is incredibly knowledgeable and helped us make an informed decision on a custom kitchen table, chairs, and barstools. We never once felt pressured to purchase but he helped us understand what to look for in that purchase and in the future, helped us compare our current flooring to the wood choice in our order, and went through all the available customization options for the table edge, chair backs, stains, chair edges, legs, etc. We felt and feel so confident in our purchase! Once the pieces arrived, he even allowed us to borrow his furniture blankets for transport! We’ll be forever customers of Orman’s and have been telling everyone about the high level of service and quality you can expect there. If you want furniture that will last many years and likely even be heirloom pieces, skip the “store up north” and go here.

The staff at Orman's always goes above and beyond In service and Quality. We have been buying furniture from Orman's for over 15 years and Have outfitted 3 entire rooms of our house with their furniture and have always been satisfied. We have never had any issues with the quality furniture purchased there. Orman'swas even willing to repair repair a couch purchased elsewhere at an extremely reasonable price. Thanks for the great customer service and quality that you provide. I wish all retailers were as great to work with as Tim Orman!!

This is a big store. They have a very large selection of leather furniture. Ask for a map when you inter store this will help find your way around. No hard sell just information.

We purchased an Amish table and chairs. The table was purchased off the floor with chairs to arrive later. There was a stain mismatch and Tim was extremely easy to work with and made things right. The quality for the price is the best I saw in looking for a dining set. I'm very happy with both the owner and the furniture.

Tim Orman quickly steered us in the right direction. The delivery process went very smoothly. We later noticed a blemish on a drawer and Tim found us a solution to the problem. Update:It's high time I update this review. While I didn't purchase Amish Furniture at Orman's, I did purchase a beautiful dark brown leather couch which we absolutely love!!! It feels nice to touch, sits just the way we ordered and expected, and looks terrific! I admire it every time I enter the room. I'll be back!It looks like Google removed the reviews I referred to below.Original Review: I'm really glad I didn't read the reviews prior to my visit today because I would have missed out on a world of great information. The variety of reviews show how people have different expectations and how those expectations outweigh others. For me, shopping at Orman's was a very different experience in many ways and I will outline them for you below.First, I found Orman's 3-Day Furniture online because I was looking for Amish built furniture that I could see and touch. Among other high-end furniture, the store features a huge selection of furniture from various Amish builders. The builders have a slightly different niche to what they do ranging in hinges, slides, hidden compartments, wood type, finishes, etc.Second, we were met at the door by the owner who was happy to help us locate the different speices used, and stain colors to fit our needs. Since my need is a custom request, he drew up a sketch of what we're looking for and will send it on for a quote to one of his builders.Third, I learned more about furniture in 30 minutes than I'd learned in my unfortunate 100's of hours shopping for furniture at local competitors over the last 30 years. Oh my!!Fourth, I wanted to buy something from his floor at a good savings (the store is closing) but because of a few concerns I'd mentioned he highly recommended that we special order. His reason was that very easily there are some specific changes that could be made that would meet my need exactly.Did you read that right? This guy didn't want to just sell me furniture, but he wants to sell me furniture that will make me happy for years to come.My synopsis on Orman's Furniture is that this guy has done well for himself, and he's trying to close the business so he can retire and enjoy some fun and perhaps a hobby or two, but Orman's IS his hobby and what he loves to do; furniture and making people happy with their furniture for years to come.I HIGHLY suggest checking out Orman's if:* You are in the market for high-end furniture*Want stylish and statement pieces*Don't require fancy building aesthetics that cause cost to rise*Desire to understand that there are options to furniture that can make a difference*Want the above for no added costIf I end up buying at Orman's I'll update my review on my experience as a customer.

These reviews are legit! I shopped for a dining table for several weeks before I stopped at Orman's. I'm glad I did! Tim was knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic about helping me find the right table. He is passionate about furniture and it shows. What's more is he appreciates a good value. The store is a lot larger than it looks in the google picture and there is plenty of quality inventory to help you understand options. Orman's will be my first stop next time I need furniture.

My leather recliner (purchased from a local big box highly advertised store) was relatively new when the mechanism broke. Most stores would offer to sell me a new one but, in a conversation with Tim Orman, I discovered it could be repaired for a fraction of the cost to replace. Ormans handled the work expertly, within budget, and on time, with an expert explanation of why the mechanism broke. I now have my favorite chair back!

Just received my leather recliner after needing 3 legs replaced and really a “complete overhaul” Orman’s staff delivered it yesterday and I was amazed at the workmanship and the comfort that Tim and his staff has restored to my chair—I would recommend anyone needing a chair/sofa (piece of furniture) repaired Orman’s Furniture is the BEST place to get an expert job.

Great place for custom order pieces at very competitive (and often unbeatable) prices. The owner has been one of the nicest guys I've ever worked with. Installers are professional, fast and friendly. Order tracking/shipping updates could be better, but other than that, great experience!

The mechanism in our recliner was defective and called Orman’s to see what could be done. Because we purchased the chair from their store many years ago, Tim was able to have it repaired and also had cushions replaced since the chair was still under warranty. (This to me shows the quality of furniture that Orman’s sells.) While at the store we talked to Tim about getting a king size headboard to match a set we have had for 45 years. We purchased an Amish headboard, was able to match color exactly and it looks terrific in our bedroom!!! Quality, service, and knowledge are what you get at Orman’s. Thanks Tim for all your hard work. We will be back.

We had a broken piece on the swivel base of a 20 year old rocker which was in excellent condition.Orman’s invested a significant amount of time researching to find us a replacement swivel base.When we brought the mechanism to the store they were able to make and install the broken piece rather than replacing the entire mechanism.This saved us about $60 and we left knowing we would be back someday. How refreshing to find excellent quality furniture as well as people.Service with genuine concern for the customer is a rarity.

Orman's is the benchmark for quality furniture. There are various price points, but it's all quality. Tim's been in the business for over 40 years and if you want to know what goes into quality furniture, and why it's a value (and not junk you'll replace in a few years), you need to shop here. It may not be as glitzy as other stores but look beyond the fluff of Nebraska Furniture Mart or other places. At those other places you'll work with "order takers", not people who've been to the factories and know firsthand why a piece is built the way it is.We moved from Washington DC to KC in 2004 and have been customers ever since. We wouldn't dream of buying furniture anywhere else. Orman's wins on price when you compare quality pieces, and they stand behind ALL of their products.
